T4 invites the congregation, ages 8 and up, to join
them in packaging food for Haiti through Feed the Hunger, at the Youthfront
Auditorium, Sunday, January 31, at 5 pm. (We need to be there at
4:45). Meet at New Summit at 4:00 pm to carpool.
Youthfront is offering the chance for you to come and package as many meals
as you want for only 20 cents per meal.
For a thirty dollar donation, one student can
package about 150 meals in a one hour packaging session for Haiti.
We are asking that participants contribute a twenty dollar donation, and New Summit
will contribute the remaining ten dollars per person. Checks should be made payable to Youthfront.
Sign up today on the form below, or sign up on Sunday morning at the Welcome Center or on the white contact card in the bulletin. RSVP and turn in money by Wednesday, January 27th.

What is Feed the Hunger?
Young people are increasingly embracing a Christianity demanding action and
obedience to Jesus Christ and God's Overarching Mission throughout the world. A
verbal Proclamation of the Good News is as essential today as it has ever been.
However, our verbal Proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ is so much
more robust when it is connected to an embodiment of our faith, a living out of
the Good News. When we act and behave like followers of Jesus our message of
salvation resounds loudly and powerfully.
"If a brother or sister lacks food and one of you says, 'go in
peace,' and yet do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?
Faith if it has no works is dead." James 2:15-17.
Can I volunteer even if I don't have the money to package meals?
Yes! We'll need help at our registration tables, moving and
stacking boxes, coloring on them, writing prayers, and notes of blessing. And
there might even be some limited opportunities to package meals as we anticipate
financial gifts from others who wish to extend this hands-on opportunity to
others.
