Please
continue to pray for those in Haiti,
victims, injured, doctors and medical staff, relief workers and those trying
desperately to get water, food, medical supplies and so much more for this
devastated area.
Good
news: Robyn Fate talked to her sister-in-law who had fifteen members of
her family in Port-Au-Prince. She
lost one uncle in the quake but all the rest of the fourteen, which included
many children, were saved. We know that the problems for them are not over
so keep her family in your prayers.
I also
talked with Jim Yates of Action Ministry. He is involved with two agencies
with six orphanages between them. All the children have been
saved. Praise God!! Of course they still have needs that must be met.
He has a number of people who went to the Dominican
Republic yesterday morning and they will get
to the orphanage sites as they are able to help and be a conduit for
information and needs.
It seems
that God has been so very good to many of His people in Haiti.
Hopefully many more will be drawn to the Lord as Christians continue to serve
these beautiful people. I saw a woman rescued who sang to the Lord as she
was pulled from the wreckage. What a witness for someone buried alive for
six days.
Others on
the mission field also need our prayers. Kristin Robinson writes that they have
a few converts who will be home with their unbelieving families for a period of
time and others who are wanting to see more of the "Jesus" film and
are searching and need our prayers. Her roommate is gone until March
and she is having some difficulty in adjusting to her time in the East. She
also would ask for prayer for her language learning.
Seth and
Andrea Sears are having some difficulties with Visas that requires them to go
to Panama
today because of a mix up in dates by which they needed their religious worker
residential visas. Prayers for travel safety. Seth's parents, Bob and
Jenean will be traveling with them. Pray for their banking problems to be
alleviated and Bob's health to allow for all of this.
Seth is
starting his carpentry program in two weeks in La Carpio, the worst of the
slums. He asks prayers that exactly whom God wants to participate in this
group would be there and overcome whatever fears or obstacles are in front of
them.
Pray for
the girls at Restoration House, especially for Glenda and Magali who are new to
the house.
